Detroit outscored the host Pacers by 10 in the fourth quarter to take Game 6, and the Eastern Conference Semifinals,
88-79 on Thursday. Rasheed Wallace buried a 3-pointer with 1:42 to go for what proved to be the game’s decisive basket, and Ben Wallace preserved the win by blocking Reggie Miller’s three-point attempt with 30.9 seconds left in the game. Playing in his last game, Miller scored 27 points but was one-upped by Richard Hamilton, who netted 28. The Pistons open the Eastern Conference Finals in Miami on Monday at 8 p.m. ET (TNT).
